Fire safety: what Cfl-s1 means

Under the European standard EN 13501-1, Cfl-s1 means low flammability for floor coverings (Cfl) with low smoke production (s1). The class applies to the tested carpet including backing and installation method. The test report is what counts. Which class your prayer hall needs depends on the building regulations in your country.

Customs and delivery

Within the EU, industrial goods from Türkiye are duty-free under the EU–Türkiye customs union (A.TR movement certificate). We handle the import formalities. For deliveries outside the EU, for example to the UK, Norway or Switzerland, we clarify duties and taxes in the quote.

Carpet sponsorship for your community

With a carpet sponsorship, members of your community can contribute to the new mosque carpet. On request, we provide your mosque with a free campaign page. Donations go directly to your association.

Frequently asked questions about mosque carpets

How much does a mosque carpet cost per square metre?
The price per square metre depends on material, quality, pattern and quantity; depending on the project, cutting, delivery and installation are added. We state the exact price in the non-binding quote once measurements and design are clear. Guide: price factors
How long does it take until the carpet is installed?
The duration depends on the execution and the agreed services. We clarify a possible timeline based on your enquiry. If the carpet should be in place before Ramadan 2027 (expected to begin on 8 February), please tell us at the very start. Guide: timeline
Which material suits our mosque?
For busy prayer halls, wool or polyamide are suitable; acrylic offers good value for money; polypropylene suits small budgets or interim solutions. What matters is use, budget and fire safety requirements. Guide: materials compared
Are mosque carpets fire-retardant?
That depends on the individual carpet. A fire class such as Cfl-s1 under EN 13501-1 always applies to the tested carpet including backing and installation method. That is why we only state a fire class with the test report for the specific carpet. Which class your prayer hall needs is set by your building permit or fire safety concept. Fire safety explained
Are customs duties due if the carpet is made in Türkiye?
Within the EU, no: industrial goods from Türkiye are duty-free under the customs union, and the A.TR movement certificate proves this status. Import VAT still applies; we handle the formalities. For countries outside the EU we clarify duties and taxes in the quote. Get a quote
What is the difference between Saf and Seccade?
A Saf carpet has continuous lines for straight prayer rows; a Seccade carpet shows an individual prayer place with a mihrab motif for each person. Both create order; Seccade makes the number of places visible. View designs
Can we choose our own colours?
Yes, we match colours and patterns to your room. Out of respect, we do not put Quranic verses or the names of God on the floor. View designs
How many prayer places fit in our space?
